What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also

promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on

the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes

us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get

sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's

Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is

actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and

around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and

spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace,

security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and

self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually

every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also

works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve

 side effects and promote recovery.

Herbal Medicine

What is Herbal Medicine?

Herbal medicine is the oldest and still the most widely used system of

medicine in the world today. It is medicine made exclusively from plants.

It is used in all societies and is common to all cultures.  Herbal medicines

are plant-based medicines made from various combinations of plant

parts eg leaves and flowers or solely the roots. Each part can have different

medicinal uses and the many types of chemical constituents require

different extraction methods. Both fresh and dried plant matter are used,

depending on the herb.

Herbal medicine is increasingly being validated by scientific investigation

which seeks to understand the active chemistry of the plant. Many modern pharmaceuticals have been modelled on, or derived from chemicals found in

Using plants as medicine provides significant advantages for treating many conditions. The therapeutic activity of a plant is due to its complex chemical

l nature with different parts of the plant providing certain therapeutic effects.

Patient may also be asked to have certain medical test to confirm diagnosis and extend of their problem. After considering all of the above and where no medical test or correspondence from the GP or Consultants are not needed a herbal prescription suitable for your unique condition is then formulated.

Follow-up consultation up to 30 minutes

Further follow ups are usually every four weeks to assess progress and

adjust prescription as necessary and to discuss test results, the treatment

plan and the diet, if necessary. Once the problem has been resolved

the medication is then reduced and eventually stopped completely.

A maintenance plan is then placed for the patient to continue self-care

at home and to visit us at the clinic.

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is the application of appropriate pressure to specific points and

areas on the feet, hands, or ears. Reflexologists believe that these areas

and reflex points correspond to different body organs and systems, and

that pressing them has a beneficial effect on the organs and person's

general health. For example, reflexology holds that a specific spot in the

arch of the foot corresponds to the bladder point. When a reflexology

practitioner uses thumbs or fingers to apply appropriate pressure to this

area, it affects bladder functioning.

Although reflexology is not used to diagnose or cure health disorders,

millions of people around the world use it to complement other treatments

when addressing conditions like anxiety, asthma, cancer treatment,

cardiovascular issues, diabetes, headaches, kidney function, PMS

 and sinusitis.
